VILLA wide man Anwar El Ghazi insists the club have had their bad spell this season – and are geared up for a big finish.
The on-loan Lille winger was in top form against Middlesbrough as Villa confirmed their place as play-off contenders.
And Dutchman El Ghazi, 23, feels that the momentum in the team right now can carry Villa all the way to the play-offs.
That looked out of the question just a few weeks ago, but four wins in a row have changed the landscape.
El Ghazi told the club’s official website: “We’ve had our bad period now and come through it.
There’s a good atmosphere among the team and in training – you can really feel it at the moment.
“Especially since we’re on a winning run now, we just want to get to the next game.
“We try to keep impressing and keep going all the time – especially at home.
“The commitment and determination to keep going has been the key to our recent turnaround.”
El Ghazi reckons the steady stream of players coming back from injury and suspension is also making a huge difference.
He added: “With Jack Grealish back, it’s been better. We’ll also be getting Axel Tuanzebe back soon.
“The feeling is good right now after four wins in a row. We’re prepared for the run-in.”
