JOHN McGinn has been slammed by Scotland fans for his below par display in the 3-0 defeat by Kazakstan on Thursday.
The Villa midfielder may have hit top form for Dean Smith in recent weeks – but he was off the pace for Alex McLeish’s sure in their Euro 2020 qualifier.
In fact, ex-Villa boss Big Eck took McGinn off midway through the second half as he was having little effect.
The performance will be a worry for Smith who will see McGinn as one of his key men in the run-in to the end of the season.
But the main criticism of McGinn seemed to be that he could not adapt to having lesser players around him.
The 24-year-old has come to life at Villa Park with the return of Jack Grealish from injury.
But Scottish fans were quick to take to social media to let McGinn know what they thought of his game.
