DEAN Smith reckons opposition teams can become ‘scared’ of Villa’s home support if they keep on winning games in the style that has brought them four successive victories.
Villa are on a roll at the moment and looking for a play-off spot that seemed impossible to achieve just a few weeks ago.
But Smith’s side went into the international break on the back of a 3-0 win over Middlesbrough.
And the Villa boss knows there are four more home games to play – including the final one of the league season against title chasing Norwich City.

But he says the momentum can grow when Villa return to action against Blackburn.
And another victory would crank up the atmosphere once more.
Dutch winger Anwar El Ghazi told reporters: “The coach told us at a meeting before the Middlesbrough game the fans love us right now because we are playing well and giving everything.
“He said to us if we have the fans behind us in every game, the opposing teams will become scared of us.”
“Everyone is scared of us at the moment at Villa Park. There’s a good atmosphere in the team and in training.
“The way we work together, you can feel it. When you win games, you want to go straight to the next game.”
