AHMED Elmohamady reckons Villa are going to have to give 100 per cent between now and the the end of the season.
The Egypt wide man is convinced Dean Smith’s side will have to win EVERY one of their remaining eight Championship matches.
He says the division is so tight that it is the only way to ensure they seal a top six spot.
That will be a tough ask with Villa still to play teams such as Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds and Norwich.
But Elmohamady says that is the target they must set themselves.
It would mean Villa having to strong together an incredible 12-match winning run – including the four they already have under their belt.
Elmohamady told Villa’s You Tube channel: “For us, it’s like eight cup games – we need to win every single game to finish in the play-offs.
“It’d give us a chance to look forward to next season in the Premier League.
“The confidence is back.
“We had a game against West Bromwich at home in which we played very well but didn’t get the result we wanted.
“But we didn’t deserve that. We then went to Stoke, away from home, and in my opinion we should’ve won the game but we had a draw.
“Derby at home, we won 4-0 and it lifted everyone.”
Elmohamady was not wanted by Egypt for their international games – but neither was Mo Salah as the team decided to let the players concentrate on their domestic aims.
The Villa full-back added: “It’s been a good two weeks’ training. A few of the lads went away for international duty but they’re back now.”
