VILLA boss Dean Smith says it is too early to discuss Axel Tuanzebe’s future at the club.
The 21-year-old Manchester United defender has been out of action since December and was being considered for a recall against Blackburn Rovers.
But Smith refused to comment on a story in the Sun suggesting United have already decided to let Tuanzebe out on loan again next season – with Villa a likely destination.
Smith admitted Villa had missed Tuanzebe’s presence at the heart of Villa’s defence – but said he was in no position to say what will be happening with the player this summer.

The Villa boss told reporters: “It’s not a conversation I have had with Axel. It’s not a conversation I have had with Manchester United.
“Axel’s a great player and we all like him here, he’s a great athlete, quick and comfortable on the ball and tactically astute too.
“He’s the sort of player where you can understand why he’s at Manchester United
“Axel’s getting used to the pressure of playing in front of those sort of crowds.
“We’re glad he is here and I am glad he is back to full fitness. We missed him when he wasn’t here.”
