SHEFFIELD Wednesday see their clash with Villa as a must win game if they are to keep their own play off hopes alive.
Former Villa boss Steve Bruce has taken the Owls four points away from the top six with seven games left.
Victory over Dean Smith’s side – with Villa searching for a sixth successive win – would close the gap.
But another win for Villa is likely to leave Wednesday building for next season.
Wednesday have not lost in 13 matches and that spells danger for Villa.
And Owls midfielder Sam Hutchinson told the Sheffield Star: “If we lose to Villa, we’re out of it really.
“Obviously, there’d still be a chance mathematically. If we beat them, then you think you can beat anyone because they are the in-form team in the Championship.
“This is an added bonus because no one thought we’d be in the mix.
“If we get there, great. If we don’t, then we’ve got something to build on for next season.”
