FORMER Villa striker Tony Cascarino is tipping Dean Smith’s side to win promotion to the Premier League through the Play-offs.
He reckons Villa have ‘too many good players’ to miss out.
Villa have forced their way into the top six on the back of a club record equalling nine wins in a row.
It has taken them from no-hopers to one of the promotion favourites in less than two months.
Smith has had all of his key men in place – give or take a game or two – and the results are there for all to see.

And Cascarino – who also played for Monday’s visitors to Villa Park, Millwall – gave his views to Talksport.
He said: “I think Villa will make it against any team in the play-offs, they will have too many good players.”
But he also gave himself some wriggle room by suggesting Villa will need to maintain their current brand of top form.
Casacarino added: “If they turn up, Villa can be a real handful.”
Villa go into the Millwall clash aiming to write their name into the club’s history.
No Villa side has ever won 10 league games in a row before and it is a landmark sure to let all of their Play-off rivals know they mean business.
