VILLA have been linked with a move for £10million Liverpool winger Ryan Kent.
A report in The Sun says that boss Dean Smith is keen on the 22-year-old who made a big impression while on loan at Rangers this season.
Smith will hope a victory over Derby in Monday’s Championship Play-off Final could seal the deal.
The report suggests Villa could even push a move through even if they are still in the Championship next season.

But the club would then have to be mindful of FFP rules which would restrict Villa’s spending. However, a loan deal would be possible.
Steve Gerrard would also been to take the player back to Ibrox but Kent is thought to be ready prefer a move to an English club.
The Sun says Huddersfield and Fulham are also looking at Kent but cannot offer the Premier League football Villa are hoping to secure.
Smith will need to look at the wide positions next season with Anwar El Ghazi still on loan from Lille and Albert Adomah’s days looking to be numbered at Villa Park.
