VILLA could be facing competition from Wolves and Bournemouth for Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
Phillips is rated at £14million by Villa with boss Dean Smith keen to get the player on board for next season.
But Phillips’ displays as a defensive midfielder at Elland Road last season have alerted other clubs.
And ex-Leeds striker Noel Whelan had told the Football Insider website that Wolves and Bournemouth are also interested.
But he maintains the 23-year-old wants to stay at Leeds.

And the Mirror suggest that Villa would have to come in with an offer of around £20million to stand any chance of signing him.
Whelan said: “I know Kalvin is desperate to stay at Leeds.
“I have no doubt Marcelo Bielsa wants Kalvin Phillips at the club, and they need to show him that he is wanted by the club.
“The club need to put their money where their mouth is.
“He is away on holiday at the minute and, hopefully, when he comes back, he can agree a new deal.
“The interest in Phillips is real. You’ve got Bournemouth, I’m hearing Wolves and there’s Villa as well.”
