ALBERT ADOMAH is joining Nottingham Forest after being released by Villa this summer.
The winger was a fans’ favourite at Villa Park and played a key role in their promotion campaign.
But despite his efforts, he was released by Villa as he did not fit in with Dean Smith’s Premier League plans.
Now he is in new Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi’s sights and looks set to sign on at the City Ground within 24 hours.
Adomah, 31, clearly has plenty to offer the Championship after his contribution to Villa’s play-off campaign last season.
But it seems the Ghana wide man was also a target for sacked Forest boss Martin O’Neill before he left the club.
If the deal goes through, Adomah will be the fifth signing of the summer under Lamouchi.
West Brom have also been interested in Adomah along with Bristol City and Millwall.
Teamtalk says: “Forest are now in pole position to seal his signature as they look to try and wrap up a deal in the next 24 hours.”
