Villa have Trez bid ‘accepted’

By Graham Hill

VILLA have had a bid accepted for Egypt winger Trezeguet according to Turkish media.

Newspaper Takvim says Villa have agreed a £9.9million fee for the winger after talks with his club Kasimpasa – who had been asking £13.5million.

Villa have reportedly beaten Everton to the 24-year-old.

Kasimpasa did not want to sell one of their best players but the offer from the Midlands outfit was too good to turn down.

Trezeguet could be the first of three signings to be confirmed over the weekend with Villa also close to bringing in Belgian defender Bjorn Engels in a £7million deal and Manchester City’s Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz for £15million.

Villa also want a new keeper and are still trying to snap up Neal Maupay from Brentford with other targets on boss Dean Smith’s list.
