IT’S official, Villa will have a record-breaking 30,000 season ticket holders this season.
The club have confirmed the figure after many had been predicting all summer that Villa would have to cap the number of supporters who wanted a season ticket.
It beats the previous highest figure of 27,709 which happened 11 seasons ago under Martin O’Neill.
Now Dean Smith’s Villa have captured the imagination again with a return to the Premier League after three seasons in the Championship.
And Villa say this is the first time in the ‘modern era’ that so many fans will be season ticket holders.
It means home games this season could be near sell-outs.
A statement from the club adds: ‘In terms of cards, Season Ticket holders from 2018/19 need to retain and use their current card while new Season Ticket holders will have a new card posted out to them ahead of the upcoming campaign.
‘For those who haven’t been able to purchase a Season Ticket, we do have Claret and Cub memberships for adults and juniors available.
‘Becoming a member gives you priority access to purchase home tickets as we now approach the 2019/20 campaign.’
