MAHMOUD Trezeguet is likely to become Villa’s ninth signing of the summer within 24 hours according to wide ranging reports.
The Egypt winger has been linked with Villa for some weeks now – and once his involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations was complete, the club have been able to finalise negotiations.
Jimmy McCann, a semi-retired agent, tweeted that Trezeguet has agreed a four year deal and that the transfer is likely to be announced on Monday,
Reports from Egypt say that the 24-year-old agreed personal terms over the weekend after Villa had agreed a fee of around £8-9million for then player with his Turkish club Kasimpasa.

It shows that boss Dean Snith will put a lot of reliance in his wide men this season as he know has Jota, Ahmed El Ghazi and Andre Green in those positions.
It will mean a second Egyptian in the Vila squad with full-back Ahmed Elmohamady still part of Smith’s plans in the Premier League.
Manchester City midfielder Douglas Luiz is set to become the next new face through the door at Villa Park bringing Smith’s tally of signings to 10.
And there will be at least one – probably two more players – to follow with a goalkeeper and another forward, with Smith still in for Brentford striker Neal Maupay, in Villa’s sights.
