SCOTT Hogan is set to join Stoke City according to sources in the Potteries.
Villa are likely to move him on and put the funds towards bringing in a new forward before Thursday’s deadline.
Hogan, 27, joined Villa in a £9milliion deal from Brentford two and a half years ago.

But the player never settled and failed to reproduce his Griffin Park form under Steve Bruce or Dean Smith who loaned the played out to Sheffield United last season where he was part of the Blades’ promotion campaign.
The Stoke Sentinel says that Hogan is likely to be confirmed as joining Nathan Jones’ side within the next day or so.
Hogan has played a part in Villa’s pre-season campaign and scored the only goal of the game at Shrewsbury last month.
