VILLA boss Dean Smith wants Keinan Davis to be part of his squad this season – despite interest from the Championship.
QPR, Huddersfield, Fulham, Sheffield Wednesday, Swansea City and Preston North End have all tried to take the Villa forward on loan, according to the Football Insider website.
Davis, 21, first emerged as a first team player under Steve Bruce and was – for a short period – linked with a move to the Premier League.

That did not happen but he remained a part of Smith’s plans even though he played a bit-part role last season where on-loan Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham was in supreme form.
Davis started out at Stevenage before playing for non-league Biggleswade Town and joining Villa four years ago.
But he is an England Under-20 international and Smith clearly thinks the player will develop into key man for Villa.
